Do you need to upgrade to Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40110? This course is designed for people who have the BSZ98 or work in a training and assessment environment and can provide supervisor reports, job descriptions, program session plans, learning plans and assessment tasks. The course will consist of practical and gap skills assessment and validation.

Pre-requisites
To be eligible to participate in this course, you must be a trainer and assessor who is also a holder of BSZ40198 currently involved in training and assessment in an AQF and AQTF environment for at least the last 2 years.

If you do not have a full BSZ40198, you may still be eligible to RPL and RCC based on your current workplace training and assessment experience
You will be required to provide: resume showing current position, job description and statement of duties, learning programs, session plans, assessment tasks etc.

Course Description
This upgrade from BSZ40198 to TAE40110 is a face to face training program consisting of 12 hours of training plus a one hour delivery session from each participant. Students are expected to spend approximately 60 hours of self-paced effort to complete the RPL Kit and or workplace project.

Upon the completion of the training, students must be in a position to demonstrate competency in:
1. knowledge and skills of the Australian VET system
2. Unpack training packages to meet clients’ needs
3. Design training programs, delivery plan and session plans
4. Deliver training to individuals and group based learning
5. Plan and deliver workplace training
6. Create and design presentations
7. Plan assessment activities
8. Assess competence
9. Develop assessment instruments
10. Participate in assessment validation

The training will take a holistic approach to the 7 core units and 3 elective units as unpacked by the Parramatta College. Depending on the individual, students will be given the opportunity either to complete projects according to critical aspects of evidence for the respective units or to provide evidence to support RPL.

Assessment
The assessment will be a training and assessment pathway, ie attendance of training and submission of RPL portfolio to be supplemented by workplace projects where gaps exist. Plus critical aspects of evidence in each unit of competency.
