SOCIAL DISTANCE LEARNING

SOCIAL DISTANCE LEARNING

In recent weeks we have introduced Social Distance Learning through Virtual Online Classrooms to our current students. We have had great success with our tutors embracing this new way of teaching for the college and we’ve received positive feedback from our students.

We have transitioned a number of our upcoming courses over to Virtual Online Training with a number still to follow! This will certainly be a different experience from what has been in the past and we are excited for our tutors to be offering this new option to our students and community, many of which would be staying home looking for constructive ways to fill their new found free time and a number that may be needing to upskill for a new career path. We will be using online platforms such as ZOOM for our virtual classrooms to provide an interactive learning space, most of which will be paperless which is great for the environment and most important at this time keeping students and trainers safe.

With Term 2 around the corner we are busy finalising the details to ensure this transition is transparent in continuing to offer our students quality learning through alternative avenues. The world around us is changing daily, we will continue to adapt scheduling and arrangements as required with the input of our teaching team and in keeping with Government directives. Like all other providers we too are working towards supporting remote interactive learning for programs where this is suitable with respect to content, educational quality outcomes and the digital literacy of our learners. This is a key project for the College over the coming weeks. We will be keeping our learners up to date as this evolves.

I’m sure it’s no surprise that at the time since designing and printing our Autumn/Winter 2020 Course Program things have changed dramatically. There has been a number of changes in the way they may be taught specifically online through our social distance learning models! If you are seeking to enrol in a Term 2 course please book through the website and/or call the College. If classes are re-scheduled we will notify all involved and our refunds and credits policy will apply as usual. Our most up to date course information will be our website.

We would sincerely like to thank you, our students, trainers and staff for your patience and support through this challenging time. Take care, wash your hands and keep an open heart. We value your commitment to life-long learning and the College

Kind Regards
TPC
