This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for individuals to safely perform foundation digital literacy tasks using a personal computer and a range of software applications and digital devices and provides foundation digital literacy skills to support a wide range of varying industry occupations. There are 6 units of competency to be completed for Certificate I in Information, Digital Media and Technology. Students intending to enrol into this course must have general computer knowledge including ability to use mouse and keyboard. On successful completion of all required competencies, the qualification ICT10115 Certificate I in Information, Digital Media and Technology will be issued.

Delivery strategy
This course is delivered as flexible mode, meaning you don’t have attend face to face classes; however there will be some face to face meetings with your trainer to monitor your progress. We will provide you with the course materials as well as the assessments during the first meeting with your trainer. If you are unable to attend the face to face interview, it can be organised through Skype. Please let us know if this is the case.
Resources required
This course requires a well functioning computer or laptop, preferably with current Windows operating system and Microsoft applications. You also need to have high speed internet and a printer at home. If you do not have access to a computer or do not have internet connection at home, please let the trainer know. The college may be able to give you access to one of our computer labs to allow you to practice and/or complete your assessments.
