Did you know that you will need to have a Diploma of higher level qualification in education if you intend to teach Certificate IV in Training and Assessment? The Diploma of Training Design and Development TAE50216 is a pathway from the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40110 or later version for training developers and instructional designers who are responsible for analysing training needs and designing training solutions and products to meet workplace capacity requirements and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs. This qualification is suitable for those wishing to develop their training and assessment career.
You will need to have vocational experience in competency based training and assessment within an RTO or similar organisation and have computer skills and English language and literacy skills sufficient to undertake the training. RPL is available. On successful completion of assessments the qualification Diploma of Training Design and Development TAE50216 will be awarded.

Learning strategies
This course is delivered in class room environment led by a qualified industry experienced trainer. We will provide you with all the learning and assessment materials. Learning strategies include face to face lectures, presentations, case study, scenario analysis, research and in class activities.
Assessment strategies
Assessments for this qualification include both formative and summative assessments and include questions and answers, portfolio of evidence, project assignments and third party report. You will be provided with assessment tasks at the beginning of your course during the face to face session.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
If you believe you have relevant skills and experience satisfying the competency requirement of this qualifcation, please consult with your trainer for the possibility of recognition. The trainer will provide you with a clear guideline on the RPL assessments and evidence requirements.
Final outcome
To receive the qualification, you will need to successfully complete all the required assessments in both Cluter 1 and 2. The assessor may ask you to provide further evidence if the first submission is found to be insufficient or non satisfactory. A Statement of Attainment will be issued if you have successfully completed one or more than one unit but not all the units of the qualification.
