Keyboarding Speed and Accuracy
About the course
This accredited course provides accurate touch-typing, using the correct technique which is still the best way to learn to type effectively, using Typingmaster Pro 7. Before you enrol you must be able to use a personal computer including keyboard and mouse on a basic level. This course will benefit all students plus attain one of the entry requirements into the Police Force or any member of the community needing to type tasks as a skill for their course/workplace.
Pre-requisite
Whilst there is no pre-requisite to enrol into the course, you are required to complete the following online mouse skills tests and and send the result by email to admin@parramattacollege.com.au with your preferred course/s clearly stated in the email. Please click on TEST 1 and TEST 2 to access the tests. If you cannot open the tests on your computer, this may be a Flash plug in may need to be installed. You should see on the first screen if you need to install the plug-in. It’s only a mouse click away. Please note your enrolment may be denied if you do not send the mouse skills test result.
Instructions
- click onto "GAME START"
- choose "LEVEL 1"
- at each frame, click onto: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
- in that order, as fast as you can
- give us time, rate and miss
Note: you can do this as many times as you wish, then give us your best result.

- drag right hand side image to left, matching up the correct colours
- when finished, stop stop-watch
- click onto "Check"
- do this until 'Your score is 100%"

Learning outcomes
Learn to use all your fingers with the alphabet and numeracy keys. You will work faster, and make fewer mistakes – a vital skill for today’s technological world.
Learning strategies
This course will be delivered in a classroom enviroment led by an industry skilled and appropriately qualified trainer. Delivery strategies include face to face lecture, demonstration, practical activities etc.
Assessment strategies
Your competence will be assessed both through formative and summative assessments. Assessment strategies include observation, practical demonstration, short answer questions etc.
Final outcome
On successful completion of the course and all required assessments, students will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for BSBITU307 Develop Keyboarding Speed and Accuracy, a core unit from Certificate III in Business Administration BSB30415.
