Fixing Teams: Managing Cultural Change

Course Information

This highly interactive two hour session will equip you with practical tools and strategies that can be applied to your workplace.
In the workshop you will learn about:

How to identify the system, leader and workplace changes that will enable shift in a broken team.
What you can influence as the HR Manager to effect positive workplace change.
Why setting behaviour, anti-bullying and positive culture polices by themselves are largely ineffective.
How to effectively partner with line managers when dealing with broken teams.

How to create urgency using motivational interviewing
Acknowledging stories and history
Relationship mapping
Perceptions of cause and effect
Reattribution and reframing
Encouraging self-reflection
Setting new norms of behaviour and interaction
Monitoring and maintaining – taking the team temperature
Utilising change champions
Changing the leader schemas from blaming staff to symptom monitoring

About Your Presenter

Rebecca Cushway is a Registered Organisational Psychologist and the Managing Director of
Careers Excelled Organisational Psychology; a boutique consultancy engaging and
developing leaders, shaping organisational culture and designing workplaces that enable
people to thrive. Rebecca has 20 years' experience as a psychologist, consultant and
business unit manager consulting in the areas of Leadership Development, Culture Change,
Employee Engagement, Talent Management, Change Management, Selection and
Performance Improvement with organisations across Australia and Asia.

Rebecca is a member of the APS College of Organisational Psychologists, a Certified
Professional Member of the Australian Human Resources Institute and an Adjunct
Supervisor of higher degree students at Macquarie University.
