Microsoft Word for Beginners

This course is designed for those who have limited or limited to no experience using Microsoft Word. This course will also help you with simple MS Word related activities. You will learn to produce simple workplace documents using the basic features of Microsoft Word including formatting text, cutting, copying and pasting, headers and footers, page alignment and orientation, page set up, page numbers, margins, grammar and spell check, and paragraph formatting. Statement of Attendance will be issued upon completion of the course.

Prerequisite

Basic computer operations including keyboarding and mouse handling skills required.

Resources required

As this course will be delivered using Windows 10, it is expected that you have this operation system already loaded on your computer. Parramatta College provides computers for those who do not have one at the time of the course.

Upon successful completion of the course, you should be able to -

Finalise documents

Learning strategies

This course will be delivered led by a qualified and industry experienced trainer. Learning methods will include face to face.

Assessment strategies

There is no assessment for this course; however, the trainer may ask the participants to complete some activities to ensure they are gaining the intended skills.
