Certificate IV in New Small Business (BSB42615) RPL

This course has been designed for those who already have significant exposure to the operations and legal aspects of running a small business. Students can apply for RPL to gain formal recognition in this qualification provided they demonstrate current sufficient experience in running a small business and/or if they hold relevant qualification containing units that can be used to transfer credit to this qualification.

It is important to understand that enrolling into an RPL course doesn’t automatically result in the issuing of a qualification. Success in RPL depends on the quality, authenticity and validity of workplace evidence submitted as well as the relevance of work experience to the competencies enrolled. You can explain your work experience by calling 02 96872072 or emailing to admin@parramattacollege.com.au before enrolling into the course.

Assessment strategies

This course is delivered in recognition of prior learning basis, meaning you don’t have to attend any face to face session in a classroom environment. You will be provided with an RPL kit to help you gather required evidence for the purpose of formal recognition. Please note that applying for RPL may not automatically make you eligible for the full qualification. Learning gap may be identified based on the evidence provided and in such case, you will be notified of those gaps. You will have an opportunity to submit further evidence to demonstrate your competency identified in those gaps. If you completed equivalent units as part of another qualification, you may be able to claim credit for those units. You will need to provide Statement of Attainment or Transcript for those units. Please note a screeshot from the RTO’s student management system is not sufficient for the purpose of claiming credit.

You have six months to complete the qualification from the date of commencement. Please let your trainer know if you need more time to complete or for any other support you may require. Participants are provided with learner guides and assessment materials to help them study at their own time and pace.
