Improve Self Esteem using NLP

Find it hard to say ‘no’ to others? Feel worthless at times? Lack confidence? Wish you could stand up for yourself more often? Always having an internal fight with your self and feeling guilty? Long-standing patterns such as these can be difficult to change despite years of trying. However, once you know how, it becomes easy to make the changes you desire. This workshop uses highly effective neuro-linguistic programming techniques to increase your confidence and feelings of self-worth. Learning Outcomes
By the end of this workshop participants will have:

• changed the limiting beliefs that they hold about themselves to more resourceful ones;
• determined the appropriate place for various people in their lives;
• modelled a person with good self-esteem;
• established and appropriate psychological boundary between themselves and others;
• learnt how to communicate assertively;
• let go of negative emotions which hold them back;
• performed a number of different NLP techniques.

Methods Used
The workshop will be based on adult-learning principles and will be interactive. A series of NLP techniques will be used. Where appropriate, participants will be taught NLP techniques for use at home.

The workshop will cover:
• a brief explanation of what NLP is and how it works;
• the basis of good self-esteem;
• creating appropriate boundaries between themselves and others;
• the language patterns associated with assertive communication;
• the importance of positive self-talk;
• setting goals for the future.

NLP utilises participants beliefs, values and decisions, and so a fundamental part of the workshop will be discussing these things with participants. NLP techniques include things such as brief, guided visualisations, the use of story-telling (metaphor) and a range of other techniques.
