Stop Procrastinating Now!

This four hour workshop uses neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) techniques to get to the root causes of why you procrastinate. A very experiential workshop, it will help you change those underlying causes so that you no longer procrastinate. You will also learn techniques to use at home so that you are more in control of your choices. No Concession.

Learning Outcomes
By the end of this workshop participants will have:

• learned how to use submodalities to their advantage;
• dealt with the “limiting decisions” which were causing them to procrastinate;
• learned how to prioritise effectively;
• installed a new, more useful strategy for getting things done;
• dealt with the “parts issues” which were underlying their procrastination;
• let go of the emotions which were causing them to procrastinate;
• performed a number of different NLP techniques; and
• set goals for the future.

Methods Used
The workshop will be based on adult-learning principles and will be interactive. A series of NLP techniques will be used. Where appropriate, participants will be taught NLP techniques for use at home.

Content
The workshop will cover:
• a brief explanation of what NLP is and how it works;
• what submodalities are and how to change them;
• the reasons for procrastination;
• ensuring that our values support what we want to achieve;
• strategies to use at home if procrastination recurs;
• prioritising for maximum efficiency;
• ensuring that our thoughts and emotions are in order to allow us to be in control of our choices;
• setting goals for the future.

NLP utilises participants beliefs, values and decisions, and so a fundamental part of the workshop will be discussing these things with participants. NLP techniques include things such as brief, guided visualisations, the use of story-telling (metaphor) and a range of other techniques.
