TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development (RPL)

About the course

The Diploma of Training Design and Development TAE50216 is a pathway from the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40110 or later versions for training developers and instructional designers who are responsible for analysing training needs and designing training solutions and products to meet workplace capacity requirements and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs. This qualification is suitable for those wishing to develop their training and assessment career. If you believe you have recent relevant experience in training design, development and delivery and you can produce workplace evidence, you may be able to gain recognition in TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development.

It is important to understand that enrolling into an RPL course doesn’t automatically result in the issuing of a qualification. Success in RPL depends on the quality, authenticity and validity of workplace evidence submitted as well as the relevance of work experience to the competencies enrolled. Assessment strategies

This course is delivered in recognition of prior learning basis, meaning you don’t have to attend any face to face session in a classroom environment. You will be provided with an RPL kit to help you gather required evidence for the purpose of formal recognition. Please note that applying for RPL may not automatically make you eligible for the full qualification. Learning gap may be identified based on the evidence provided and in such case, you will be notified of those gaps. You will have an opportunity to submit further evidence to demonstrate your competency identified in those gaps. If you completed equivalent units as part of another qualification, you may be able to claim credit for those units. You will need to provide Statement of Attainment or Transcript for those units. Please note a screeshot from the RTO’s student management system is not sufficient for the purpose of claiming credit.

You have six months to complete the qualification from the date of commencement. Please let your trainer know if you need more time to complete or for any other support you may require. Participants are provided with learner guides and assessment materials to help them study at their own time and pace.

Final outcome

If you are able to submit the required evidence to mee the competency criteria, you will receive the qualification TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development. If learning gaps are idenfied in any unit/s of competency and you are unable to provide further evidence, you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment provided you are considered competent in other units.
