About the course
This qualification is for experienced practitioners delivering training and assessment services usually within Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) within the vocational education and training (VET) sector. The role leads other trainers and assessors and provides mentoring or advice to new trainers and assessors as well as designing approaches to learning and assessment strategies across a significant area within the RTO. The Diploma of VET TAE50111 Cluster 2 will be conducted on flexible basis, meaning you don’t have to attend any face to face tutor led class; however you will need to attend some mandatory meetings with your trainer. Upon your enrolment, the trainer will be in touch with you to negotiate a face to face meeting to discuss your training plan and to provide you with the learning materials. If you live in remote area and are unable to attend the face to face meeting, please let us know, so we can arrange an alternative such as a Skype session. This meeting may take more than hour. It is expected that learners already hold a current TAE40110 certification or are able to demonstrate equivalency.

Learning strategies
This course is delivered in flexible mode, meaning you don’t need to attend any face to face session in a classroom environment. We will provide you with all the learning and assessment materials and you will study at your own time and pace. However, once you have enrolled you will need to attend a face to face meeting with your trainer who will explain you the learning and assessment process. This meeting may take more than one hour. After your enrolment, please call us on 02 96872072 or send an email to admin@parramattacollege.com.au to negotiate a date and time for your face to face meeting. If you are unable to attend the face the face meeting, we can organise it through Skype. Please note you will need broadband internet, a computer or laptop and a high resolution webcam for Skype session. Your trainer/assessor will provide ongoing support via email and phone communication. To keep track of your progress and to help you complete the qualification in time, further meetings may be required during the course. We expect you to complete the full qualification in 12 months from the date of commencement; however extension may be allowed in compelling or compassionate situations. Please let your trainer/assessor know if there is any such situations. You will be provided with learner guides and assessment materials during your first meeting with the trainer/assessor.
Assessment strategies
Assessments for this qualification include both formative and summative assessments and include questions and answers, portfolio of evidence, project assignments and third party report. Please note that yoou will need to submit a statutory delcaration stating that the submitted assessments and relevant documents are your own work.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
If you believe you have relevant skills and experience satisfying the competency requirement of this qualifcation, please consult with your trainer for the possibility of recognition. The trainer will provide you with a clear guideline on the RPL assessments and evidence requirements.
Final outcome
To receive the qualification, you will need to successfully complete all the required assessments. The assessor may ask you to provide further evidence if the first submission is found to be insufficient or non satisfactory. A Statement of Attainment will be issued if you have successfully completed one or more than one unit but not all the units.

It is anticipated that you will require 12 months to provide the evidence required for the full qualification. On successful completion students will be awarded the qualification Diploma of Vocational Education and Training TAE50111.
